What Podcoast collects, what it does not, and how to have it deleted.

Last updated 17 September 2026

Podcoast is a podcast player. It needs very little about you to work, so it collects very little. This page describes what the app and this website do.

Using the app without an account

You can listen without signing in. In that mode your subscriptions, queue, downloads, playback positions and the listening signals that order your feed are stored on your device. They are not sent to us, and deleting the app deletes them.

If you create an account

An account exists so a library follows you between devices. It stores the email address you sign up with, your subscriptions and queue, playback positions, and the same feed-ordering signals — so they can be restored on another device. It is used for nothing else.

What we never do

  • No advertising identifiers, no ad SDKs, no third-party trackers in the app.
  • No selling or sharing of listening history, for advertising or otherwise.
  • No building of a profile for anyone but you, for use anywhere but your feed.

Diagnostics

Crash reports and basic technical diagnostics — device model, OS version, app version, the error itself — are collected to fix crashes, and are not linked to your listening. They can be turned off in Settings → Privacy.

Audio requests

Audio streams and downloads are fetched by your device from the publisher's own media host. Those hosts see the request the way they see any podcast client: an IP address, a user agent, a range. That is how podcast download numbers have always worked, and their handling of it is governed by their own policies, not this one.

This website

podcoast.app is static files on object storage behind a CDN. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and embeds nothing from third parties. The CDN keeps standard request logs for operational purposes.

Children

Podcoast is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. Podcast feeds are third-party content; shows marked explicit in their feeds are excluded from the autoscroll feed.

Your data

Write to [email protected] to get a copy of what is stored for your account, correct it, or have it deleted. Deletion removes the account and everything attached to it, and is not reversible. Requests are handled within 30 days, and we do not require an account to ask.

Changes

Material changes are announced in the app before they take effect. The date at the top of this page is when it last changed.
