Questions
Is it a podcast player or a clip feed?
Both, and they are the same screen. The feed is how you find things; the player is what happens when you stop. Subscriptions, the queue and downloads all work the way they do in any podcast app.
Where do the clips come from?
From public podcast feeds, the same RSS the rest of the podcast world runs on. Clips are excerpts that link back to the full episode and the show's own feed.
Do I need an account?
Not to listen. An account only exists so a library follows you between devices, and you can make one later without losing what you have already saved.
Does it use a lot of data?
The feed streams at a lower bitrate than the episode and preloads one clip ahead. You can cap it to Wi-Fi only, and downloads always wait for Wi-Fi unless you say otherwise.
I make a podcast. How do I get in the feed?
Public feeds are eligible automatically. Write to [email protected] to choose the clips yourself, correct one, or opt a show out entirely.
